BJ Gaddour is a good fitness coach and writer. This is a good piece on big movements to accompany burpees you may doing. You do burpees, don’t you? Great, but very tough whole body movement. Try this: go out for a long walk (3 to 5 miles), using an app, such as the Nike Running app, which you can set to announce your distance and pace at regular intervals. Every quarter or half mile, stop and do 10 burpees (full ones, including a push up at the bottom). It’s a killer good workout.
Clearly, we’re believers in burpees here at Men’s Health. In fact, here are my favorite ways to do them: 25 Badass Burpees You Must See to Believe. Burpees involve quickly moving from a standing position to a pushup position and back again. They work every muscle in your body. You’ll burn a lot of calories and your heart rate will go sky high. It’s certainly an amazing exercise to burn fat.
