It’s possible to quibble over some of the details, but the big picture is indisputable: as you get older, it is increasingly important to focus on big movements that keep you flexible and mobile, as well as strong and powerful. Much more important to lifelong health and mobility to have powerful hips and quads than it is to have showy biceps. However, if you have the former, you’ll almost certainly build the latter. Funny how that works.

Remember, your primary goal is to maintain as many physical qualities as possible. For that reason, you should use as many different movements as possible every time you train.
